PagerDuty Operations Cloud is an incident response SaaS product that can manage and help coordinate a companie's response to an incident. This guide walks you through the steps to gather the necessary information and configure your PagerDuty account for the purpose of creating an integration with Synqly's Application Security connector.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:

  • Access to your PagerDuty Operations Cloud account's web interface
  • Access to a user account with the Global Admin or Account Owner role

Generating an API Access Key

  1. Log into the PagerDuty web interface using a user account with either the Global Admin or Account Owner role
  2. Select Integrations > Develper Tools > API Access Keys
  3. Select Create New API Key
  4. Fill in the description box
    • Optionally if you want to restrict the API key to read only operations, check the Read-only API key checkbox
  5. Select Create key
  6. Copy the value listed next to API Key and store it in a safe location.
  7. You have now created a new PagerDuty API Access Key, proceed to the next section titled Configuring the Integration

Configuring the Integration

To configure a new PagerDuty integration in the Synqly system, provide each of the values as defined below:
