This guide walks you through obtaining a Datadog API key and choosing your site or intake URL, then configuring a Datadog Sink integration in Synqly.

1. Log in to Datadog

Log in to your Datadog organization with an account that can create API keys.

2. Create an API key

In Datadog, open Organization Settings (gear icon in the left sidebar) and go to AccessAPI Keys. Click New Key, give it a name (e.g. "Synqly Sink"), and click Create Key. Copy the key and store it securely; the key value is shown only once.

Alternatively, you can create a key from IntegrationsAPIs in the Datadog app. See Datadog API key documentation for details.

Configure the Integration

Create your integration by supplying the following configuration values.

Site

  • For standard Datadog regions, enter your Datadog site (e.g. datadoghq.com for US1, datadoghq.eu for EU). Synqly will use the intake URL https://http-intake.logs.<site>/v1/input.
  • For custom or proxy deployments, enter the full intake URL (e.g. https://logs-proxy.corp.example.com/datadog/ingest). The value must start with https:// or http:// to be treated as a URL; otherwise it is treated as a site name.
  • If you leave this blank, datadoghq.com is used.

Credential (API key)

Use the API key you created in step 2. You can create a new token in the integration form or reference an existing credential by ID.
